TRAINING

I have received comprehensive training in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I provide both short and long-term therapy, depending on a client’s presenting concerns and goals. In my work, I utilize an integrative approach and adapt my style to meet each individual’s needs to support them in achieving their goals.

I have received training through Postpartum Support International on working with perinatal anxiety and mood disorders. Additionally, I completed a Substance Abuse Certificate Course through the University of Wisconsin in 2014. I have also received specialized training in working with individuals who engage in body-focused repetitive behaviors, including hair pulling and skin picking.


WORK EXPERIENCE

I formerly served as the Director of Clinical Services at the American University Counseling Center (AUCC) where I oversaw the Center’s team of staff psychologists and clinical system. I also previously held the role of Associate Director of Clinical Training at the AUCC. In that role, I managed the APA-accredited clinical training program for Doctoral Interns, and I also oversaw the training and clinical supervision of Post-Doctoral Fellows and graduate student trainees. I have also held the roles of Assistant Director for Outreach and Staff Psychologist in university counseling centers.

As an Adjunct Faculty member in the American University Psychology Department, I served as the instructor and clinical supervisor for the first-year doctoral student therapy practicum.

During my graduate training, I provided clinical services in a variety of settings, including: college counseling centers, the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, private practice, and community mental health clinics.


*PSYPACT is an interstate compact which offers a voluntary expedited pathway for practice to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states. PSYPACT is designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. In order to practice telepsychology in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only, can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). In order to conduct temporary practice in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for a Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP). The PSYPACT Commission is the governing body of PSYPACT and is comprised of one representative from each PSYPACT state.
